Sacred Heart School is the parish school of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in North Merrick, NY., offering Nursery through 8^th grade curriculum and welcoming all faiths.  The school was established in 1959 and serves the families of Merrick and its surrounding communities.  We believe that nurturing Christian values along with excellence in education fosters character development and inspires leadership.

Sacred Heart School is rooted in the teachings of Jesus and strives for academic excellence.  Its mission is to prepare competent, compassionate graduates who will affirm the teachings of the Catholic faith, take responsibility for their actions, appreciate all creation and respect the dignity of all in our multi-cultural world and possess the academic skills needed for higher learning.  Sacred Heart follows the policies and direction of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
